I’d like to invite all Substack readers to the inaugural “Rainy Day Conversation around Greatheart’s Table.” You can listen in on Apple or on Spotify.
As I explained last week, these are longer conversations in which I invite smart, insightful, and experienced people to talk and to reflect realistically on some aspect of pastoral ministry, or ministry in general. The conversations are unscripted and unpredictable, fun, and hopefully useful. Currently the plan is for these to be released occasionally - just four times each year on fifth Mondays. But depending on the response, we may increase the distribution. So, let me know what you think!
For this “Rainy Day Conversation around Greatheart’s Table” (this title was explained in last week’s post) I’ve invited three gifted and thoughtful women. Carol Arnold has many years experience serving churches with her husband Jack, and serving women in the broader church in many capacities. Karyn Hershberger currently serves with her husband in a church in Elizabethtown, KY. Meaghan May, the liaison for elders' wives in the Presbyterian Church in America, is a part of a Colorado church plant.
I’ve gathered them to talk about the experience of being a ministry spouse, whether that is being the wife of a pastor or of an elder. As one of the participants said, though there are challenges in the role, there is power.
If you want to be a part of the conversation, email me or post comments below.
Thanks for joining us around Greatheart’s Table.
