When I finished running Orlando’s OUC Half Marathon last year, a couple of strangers congratulated me and told me that I was an inspiration. I suppose they wondered how a guy who looks as old as I do survived running thirteen miles.

I’ve also survived 37 years of pastoral ministry. People wonder how I’ve done that, too.

I wonder about that myself.
